Friday February 5th, 2010 | Wine Benefit Tasting, Art & Jewelry Show
Richland Country Club | Thank You For Attending!
Assistance League® of Nashville, Frugal MacDoogal's, Best Brands, and all the participating wineries thank all who attended this year's Wine Tasting, Art and Jewelry Show. A record number of cases wines were purchased, and Assistance League received 5% of wine sales.
If you missed this year's event and still wish to contribute, call Kim Shallcross at 615-661-7749, contact the Nashville Chapter of Assistance League® through their web site at http://nashville.assistanceleague.org/, or email to assistanceleaguenashville@yahoo.com.
The slide show is from this year's event (2010). Richland Country Club once again did an impeccable job of hosting this event. There was a good size crowd but yet an atmosphere conducive to mingling. Do not miss it next year!
Assistance League® of Nashville has 2 main programs that you support when you attend this tasting and purchase items in the silent auction and jewelry sale. Those programs are called Operation School Bell© and Hand in Hand©.
Through Operation School Bell, Metro Nashville school children in need are provided with new clothing, shoes, backpacks, school supplies, books, and hygiene kits. The goal is to help prepare students for school and to give them a positive starting point for learning and academic success. Since this program began in 11/05, Assistance League has touched the lives of almost 2000 children in Nashville.
The overall goal of Hand in Hand is to provide services and supplies to the child abuse survivors and families assisted by the Nashville Children's Alliance. Volunteers make the survivors and their families more comfortable in a stressful situation, and supplies that aid the children in their recovery from abuse are provided.
Thanks to Best Brands, who supplied the wines for this year's tasting, including some very high-end favorites.
We will be posting information about the next big benefit wine tasting here real soon, so please check back.
