There were so many other incredible stops on our trip. Click a picture to learn more.
We had an incredible meal and stay at Domaine Willamette. Nicole was an amazing host!
The Domaine Willamette Winery was beautiful and the gardens (a part of their biodynamic practices) were a sight to see. We had the entire place to ourselves all night, as they were kind enough to put us up in their guest house for a night. We walked around the vineyards and the gardens. We drank incredible sparkling wine by the fire after an insanely delicious dinner. We looked for stars and Mt. Hood in the distance but it was a bit too cloudy.
Evening Land has no sign, only this mailbox, and it was one of my favorites on the trip. We drank their single vineyards wines in each of the single vineyards they came from. The tasting room was this cute little shed down a gravel drive. Ben was a wonderful host.
Drinking La Source Chardonnay in the La Source vineyard at Evening Land.
Chase crawled into a tank at King Estate. They had to throw the whole batch out. Jk. We had a blast here. King Estate was quite a drive south, a couple hours separate from the rest of the wineries we visited. We spent most of our day here, wandering around the vineyards while drinking some incredible wines. Some of the most surprising and delicious wines we had all trip were here. You’ll notice in my wine report below. The pinot gris’ age beautifully and the sparkling wines were top notch. As the Willamette Valley is pinot noir and chard country, it only makes sense that there is a ton of traditional method sparkling wine being produced.

Patricia Green was top 3 for me. This place and these wines were Amazing. Shout out to Abi!!! I always keep some Patty Green wines on hand. These single vineyards and out of the box wines are incredible quality for price. We took a drive around the property then chilled on the back patio and tasted amazing wines and dove deep into geology with Abi.
Taking notes at Argyle where sparkling wines are the focus.
Us with winemaker, owner, Willamette OG Mark Vlossak at St. Innocent. Alana, assistant winemaker and sales manager was a great host. We met last year when she made the trip to Nashville to show the wines. Mark being who he is, has access to some of the best fruit in the valley. Their single vineyard wines are incredible!
Purple Hands was top notch, and our host Margaux remains undefeated in hospitality. The views! The wines!! All amazing. Margaux was seriously a champ. She showed us around and then a bit more the next day in Portland. The single vineyard wines of Purple Hands and their minimal intervention approach showed us what the region is capable of. I always keep these wines on hand. But they are allocated and we sell them fast. The Haakon/Lenai Chardonnay was one of the best wines we had all week.
The wines at Bergström are next level, but so are their prices. These wines were possibly the best wines we had all week. We tasted in the family home which had a super cool story, an incredible garden, wonderful view, and just an all over homey feel.
The coast was seriously insane
But it was cold, so we took the robes from our Airbnb, and beer for a mid-week palate cleanser. We hung out on the beach for a few hours with snacks and painted with watercolors. Then we drove down a mile for dinner at Pelican brewing. The weather was chilly and drizzly. Exactly what I always imagined the Pacific Northwest coast to be like. The meal and beers were amazing. A highlight for sure.
